The NFL replacement refs saga received another black eye following the strange ending to Monday night’s Seahawks-Packers game. The Seahawks came out on top, 14-12, following a questionable touchdown call, which was reviewed and upheld.

The Twitterverse exploded following the game. Check out some reactions below:

Tweet of the night

Perrish Cox, 49ers cornerback (@pcox16) "Is the refs workin for the buffalo wild wings commercial?"

Packers players

Greg Jennings, Packers receiver (@GregJennings) "#NFL C'MON MAN! Can't even be upset anymore. All I can do is laugh. Laugh at the #NFL for allowing America's game to come this. WOW!"

Tom Crabtree, Packers tight end (@TCrabtree83) “13th man beat us tonight.”

Johnny Jolly, Packers defensive end (@JJolly97) "Russel Wilson first qb ever to throw a game winning int"

T.J. Lang, Packers guard (@TJLang70) "Any player/coach in Seattle that really thinks they won that game has zero integrity as a man and should be embarrassed."

Alex Green, Packers running back (AGreen_20) "Guess we kno the real meaning of 12th man, welp headed back to Gbay...it's still #packernation"

Jerel Worthy, Packers defensive end (@I_AM_WORTHY99) "All I can do is shake my head But God has a bigger plan for us Nothin but positive things that can come from this don't worry fans were good"

Brett Goode, Packers long snapper (@BGoode61) "I think we need a personal apology in person...."

C.J. Wilson, Packers defensive lineman (@cjwilson95) "Can't believe this.. Never seen anything like it."

Davon House, Packers cornerback (@devo31) "WOW!!! Win, lose or ROBBED Still want to thank GOD for keeping us healthy and giving us this great sport to play!"

Seahawks players

Eagles players

Brent Celek, Eagles tight end (@BrentCelek) "Oh wow. Can't wait to see the backlash here"

Cullen Jenkins, Eagles defensive tackle (@CullenJenkins) "GB got robbed. Smh"

Other NFL players

Drew Brees, Saints quarterback (@drewbrees) "I love this league and love the game of football, but tonight’s debacle hurts me greatly. This is NOT the league we’re supposed to represent"

Reggie Bush, Dolphins running back (@reggie_bush) “These refs gotta go I’m sorry”

Troy Aikman, Former Cowboys quarterback (@TroyAikman) “These games are a joke.”

Local media

Paul Domowitch, Daily News columnist (@pdomo) “How can that be ruled a TD? The fix is in. Pro wrestling has more integrity than the NFL.”

Sam Carchidi, Inquirer staff writer (@broadstreetbull) “Well, if that missed called doesn't cause the NFL to bring back the refs, nothing will. #Disgraceful #NationalFutilityLeague”

Bob Ford, Inquirer columnist (@bobfordsports) “Ok, it happened. The refs changed the outcome of a game. What else needs to happen? NFL would be better with call-your-own right now.”

That last play was a tough call for anyone, no doubt. But the regular refs probably would have gotten it right. Gerry Austin, who was on the ESPN coverage with Tirico and Gruden, indicated how that would have happened: The crew chief, instead of staying out of the play as happened last night, would have seen two officials disagreeing and run down there to reconcile the opposing calls. One assumes the crew chief would have noticed the placement of the two officials: The guy who didn't rule TD was looking straight at Jennings' chest, and could see the ball lodged there. The guy who did rule TD came up from the back and didn't have as good a line of sight to the ball. On a good day, a regular crew chief would have seen all that, and gotten the TD guy to back down. But the replacement crew chief had neither the presence of mind nor the moral authority to do the right thing.

The players have only themselves to blame.
Are they a union or not, today i mean, or is that only a contract ploy.
Are the refs a union? Where is the old solidarity ... walk out until the refs union is no longer locked out ... or shut up and stop whining ... the NFL has an official present, so don't lay it on the replacement refs, they are just an easy target, one even Vick could hit ( see how easy it is to be negative)

Just heard that 3 of the officials last night were ex- PAC 10 college refs who were fired for being incompetent.

There would have been just as much controversy with the regular officials. There would have been just as much complaining by the losing side. The NFL management is to blame for all of this mess. Put a ref supervisor in the booth with a walkie talkie to help these guys out. Getting each call right as quickly as possible is the goal, so help'em for cripes sake. It's football; not theoretical physics. And the players and the coaches should stop whining. Act like professionals. These are the officials you have. They are the law on the field. What, they're GREAT if they agree with you and dog meat if they don't?? The "replacement" officials are just a convenient excuse.

This is BS. When we had regular refs, the players and coaches and media and fans complained about them. Plus, it is a regular official who is in the replay booth and he upheld it. When the regulars come back, I don't ever want to hear anybody question a call.

why did Jennings try to catch it instead of knocking it out of bounds or down?

The play wasn't hard to judge. Pass interference on the offense...GAME OVER, GB wins!

What are the Seahawks supposed to do-forfeit the game? People forget how bad the regular refs can be-Luckman's game in Foxboro, every ref who allowed the end of the NYG-SF WC playoff game, the missed fumble of Jerry Rice that cost GB their WC game; Testaverde getting a TD on 4th and 1 and coming up 3 feet short of the endzone, vs Seatle no-less, and costing Dennis Erickson his job; the Fog Bowl fiasco; SB XL, the worst called event of the decade....I could go on and on.

Botched calls weren't the only problem with Monday night.

    And here come the fines.
