Phillies players, coaches take in "Star Trek: Into Darkness"

Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, and other members of the Phillies organization enjoyed a private screening of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" Monday night in Cherry Hill after returning from a seven-game road trip.

Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, and other members of the Phillies organization enjoyed a private screening of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" Monday night in Cherry Hill after returning from a seven-game road trip. The film opens nationwide on Thursday.

Others in attendance included Ruben Amaro Jr., Scott Proefrock, Chad Durbin, and Eric Kratz.

I'm not sure if any of the Phillies are "Trekkies" but I would bet at least one of them has a Captain Kirk outfit in his closet and a William Shatner poster above his bed ... Ruben.
