NFC East teams interested in Kelly's former defensive coordinator

Fellow NFC East teams are well aware of the Eagles' potent offensive attack, and they are doing all they can to try to combat Chip Kelly's system.

According to Oregonian columnist John Canzano, Nick Aliotti - the former Oregon Ducks defensive coordinator during Kelly's time in Eugene - has been contacted by NFC East teams interested in hiring him as a consultant. That's right, teams: as in all three of them.

"I have been asked by everybody in the NFC East," said Aliotti, who is currently retired. Aliotti noted that the first call came from the New York Giants right after the Eagles brought Kelly to Philadelphia, but said he "didn't feel right" accepting a job at the time.

"Some teams have called when they're getting ready to play the Eagles, and they call and have certain questions," Aliotti added. "Unless I know the guy and he's a good friend, I don't get involved with that."

Nonetheless, the interest in Aiotto's services shows just how far teams are willing to go to fight back against Chip Kelly's machinations - and, perhaps, that they might be just a bit scared.
