Mitch Williams hates extra inning baseball

Apparently former Phillies closer Mitch Williams is not a fan of extra inning baseball in the spring.

Williams, a host of "MLB Tonight," Major League Baseball Network's flagship program, was none too happy when Thursday's Mets/ Nationals exhibition game went into extra innings, pushing back the start time of the show.

"Extra baseball in spring training, that's like extra tooth decay at the dentist," Williams exclaimed, as he stood up from his seat at the MLB Tonight desk and exited the set.

Maybe Williams had a warm meal waiting for him at home, as the anchors on Hot Stove suggest, or maybe he was simply sick of watching his former rival, the Mets.

Despite an additional inning, the Mets and Nationals ended the game in a 4-4 tie.
