Millville, N.J. native Mike Trout smashed a 489-foot home run Friday night during the Angels’ 8-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals.

The homer was the longest hit in the majors so far this season and set new franchise and Kauffman Stadium records for the longest one hit. It was Trout’s 18th of the season.

Trout finished the game 2-for-4 and increased his batting average to .313.
