The legend of Le Toux continues to grow.

Sebastien Le Toux was the clear man of the match after netting a penalty kick in the 95th minute to give the Union the 2-1 victory over visiting Toronto FC.

Union head coach Peter Nowak liked the way his team handled Toronto’s conservative play.

“They play a bit more on the defensive side,” Nowak said. “You work, work, work and you get rewarded for it.”

On a balmy 95 degree day, both sides seemed drained as the game grew long. Thanks to a hard cross in the 95th minute and a Toronto FC hand ball in the box, the Union’s hard work paid off. Le Toux would take care of the rest, drilling the ball home in front of the supporter's section.

“That’s the three points we’ve been missing,” Nowak said.

Michael Orozco scored in the 61st minute with a perfectly placed header on the near post. Le Toux had the assist off of the corner kick.

The Union will play one of Soccer’s most storied franchises, Manchester United, on July 21 at Lincoln Financial Field.
