Today's matchup between the Phillies and Indians was delayed with two outs in the top of the eighth inning due to inclement weather.

The Phillies are currently leading, 12-3.

Starting pitcher Joe Blanton was still in the game when it was interrupted. He's allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in 7 2/3 innings. Blanton struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

Offensively, the Phillies batted around twice - in the second and sixth innings. Placido Polanco led the way with four hits ad a pair of RBIs. Chase Utley and Jayson Werth added three hits apiece.

Catcher Dane Sardinha hit his first major-league home run with a solo shot in the sixth inning.
