Kobe Bryant, 'Creed' star Michael B. Jordan in Philly-themed Apple commercial
The perennial comparisons between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan just got a new twist. Now Kobe's going to be compared to two Michael Jordans.
Bryant stars in an Apple TV ad alongside Michael B. Jordan, who has purportedly been cast to star in a new biopic about the NBA star, who just retired after 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.
It's perfect in so many ways.
Bryant is a Philly native and Lower Merion High grad who's alternately loved and loathed by fans back home for scorning their city while leading the Lakers to five NBA titles, including one at the 76ers' expense.
Jordan is a SoCal native who makes Philadelphia shine as the star of "Creed," the modern-day chapter in the "Rocky" movie canon.
You know which storyline makes Philly fans happier. If you don't, here's a hint: It's not the real-life one.
Both men play their roles to perfection. Especially Kobe. He's just so... Kobe.
