Jon Dorenbos: The magical long snapper

The long snapper is one of the most under-appreciated roles on a football team: a good long snapper doesn't get much ink unless it's because he screwed up. But the Eagles' Jon Dorenbos isn't satisfied with staying in the background, and he's developed and perfected a skill that allows him to grab as much of the spotlight as he wants: Jon Dorenbos, professional football player, is also a professional magician.

But the Eagles' Jon Dorenbos isn't satisfied with staying in the background, and he's developed and perfected a skill that allows him to grab as much of the spotlight as he wants: Jon Dorenbos, professional football player, is also a professional magician.

Dorenbos, who has preformed professional magic in Las Vegas and Hollywood, put on a special show Wednesday night that benefitted the Eagles Youth Partnership and City Year Greater Philadelphia. Philly.com was there to get the highlights and see what else Dorenbos has up his sleeve.
