The Jacksonville Jaguars will officially do anything to get fans into the stadium to avoid being subjected to the NFL’s local broadcast blackout rules.
But how do they plan on selling out?
By selling out, of course.
Earlier this season, the Jags wrestled with the idea of broadcasting NFL Redzone on the jumbotrons during gameplay so fans could track their fantasy teams (it’s doubtful any of those teams actually included a Jaguars player).
This past week, the team offered two free beers for fans that purchased a $45 ticket as part of their latest promotion. The drinks were much needed, as the Jaguars got steamrolled by the Colts, 37-3.
So what did we learn from all of this?
The best way to get fans to come to a Jaguars game is to make sure their attention isn’t on the field itself.
