Receiving flack on Twitter is nothing new for the Phillies, as they’ve stumbled and bumbled their way to being one of the worst teams in baseball this season.

They usually receive criticism for their lack of hitting or their porous bullpen. But, apparently, they can’t even decide to handle rain delays appropriately anymore.

The Phillies’ game against the Giants Wednesday was delayed nearly an hour due to a pretty bad storm during the fourth inning.

Play resumed despite lightning crackling in the sky not far from Citizens Bank Park.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that playing with lightning within a couple of miles of the stadium is pretty dangerous, but an expert in the form of NBC10’s Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz thought the decision to resume play was downright dumb.

He voiced his displeasures via a series of rants on Twitter. He later acknowledged that he was merely looking out for the safety of the fans in attendance.
