Hunter Pence advocates for Domonic Brown
Dom Brown admitted he doesn't really care about not being selected for the NL Home Run Derby squad for whatever reason.
But that doesn't mean he doesn't belong there anyway. Huntet Pence, still waiting for his own selection into the proceedings as part of the NL Final Vote, voiced his opinion on ESPN Radio today.
Pence is apparently still a favorite in the Philadelphia region, so if anything, this will increase the soft spot the area still has for him.
Carlos Gonzalez, the NL leader in home runs with 24, was selected for the squad, while Brown, in second with 23, was not. Gonzalez sprained his right middle finger and may be out for a bit. Potentially, Brown could be leading the league in home runs by the All-Star break.
As for Domonic Brown, he bats cleanup tonight.
