Franklin Field is crawling with ridiculously physical high school athletes today, making the Marines' pull-up challenge a popular booth. 

Enter Alex Krynski, formerly of Penncrest High School. He popped off his windbreaker for a shot at the grand prize, a Marines t-shirt. I decided to give it a try as well, to offer an example of what can happen to the human body when athletic experience comes chiefly through a computer.

Krynski took me down in strength, endurance, and technique, though I thought I had him beat in "volume."

But as one of the Marines assured me, "We didn't judge your screans. Formally."
