Fox Sports' Katie Nolan has a harsh response for Fox News' Sean Hannity

Looks like 21st Century Fox has a bit of a family feud on their hands.

It looks like 21st Century Fox has a bit of a family feud on their hands.

It all started on Saturday, when the New York Times published a story reporting, among other things, that Fox News host Sean Hannity, an outspoken defender of President Donald Trump, also offers private counsel to the president.

Here's what the Times wrote about Hannity's relationship with Trump:

Presidents always deploy surrogates to appear on television to spout their talking points, but Mr. Trump has expanded on that by developing relationships with sympathetic media figures like Mr. Hannity who also serve as advisers. Mr. Hannity, the Fox News host, defends Mr. Trump's most controversial behavior in public, but privately, according to people close to Mr. Trump, he urges the president not to get distracted, and advises him to focus on keeping pledges like repealing the Affordable Care Act.

Unlike Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy, who said he was "honored" to be mentioned as a friend of Trump, Hannity was incensed and jumped on Twitter to blast the New York Times and reporters Maggie Haberman and Glenn Thrush.

Haberman took to Twitter to respond directly to Hannity's jab:

A sarcastic Hannity shot back at Haberman:

That's when Fox Sports 1 host Katie Nolan chimed in with a profane tweet labeling Hannity as "a literal f****** moron."

On Sunday afternoon, Hannity responded to Nolan's insult, which led to the following exchange:

Nolan publicly going after Hannity is notable for several reasons, not least of which is the fact the two work for the same parent company, 21st Century Fox. Nolan deleted a tweet claiming "we don't work at the same company."

Now that 21st Century Fox has dropped Bill O'Reilly after a scandal involving $13 million in settlements paid to five former Fox News personalities, Hannity is the most important figure at the network. They even considered moving him to O'Reilly's 8 p.m. timeslot, but Hannity preferred to stay at 10 p.m.

Fox Sports did not immediately return a request for comment.

Despite removing her from Garbage Time, Fox Sports is high on Nolan, and is reportedly developing a number of new shows for her with the expectation of increasing her exposure "five-fold."

"We could not be more excited about Katie Nolan's future with FOX Sports and we look forward to further developing her role at FS1," Charlie Dixon, executive vice president of content for FS1 and FS2, said in a statement.

Nolan's contract reportedly expires next year, and according to Sporting News reporter Michael McCarthy, ESPN is already trying to lure her away from Fox Sports to Bristol.

Nolan didn't limit herself to just tweeting at Hannity. She quickly move on to attack the Fox News host's defenders, among them Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter, who she dubbed a "nobody."

This isn't the first time Nolan has gone after Hannity on Twitter. Earlier this month, she shared a 2013 tweet from the Fox News host blasting President Obama for playing golf after making public comments about Syria.
