Flyers to rock and roll on WMMR

For upwards of 50 years, WMMR has been a staple for any Philly-area drive-time commute. Anyone who tunes in Tuesday at 7:30, however, could be in for a rude awakening, as WMMR turns from classic rock to solid ice.
On Tuesday the Flyers game against the New Jersey Devils will be aired on WMMR's waves, the first sporting event to do so in statuion history. The team's usual radio home, 97.5 The Fanatic, has a conflict, and will have several others as the NHL season progresses. Therefore, tomorrow will be the first of 13 games to air on WMMR.
"Tuesday will be a historic day in the nearly 45 years WMMR has been Philly’s rock station," says WMMR Program Director Bill Weston. "We think partnering with the Flyers is just one more component of 'everything that rocks.'"

Whoever was doing the commentary for WMMR between periods has a propensity to over use the word "Obvious" and it's grammatical cousins.
