Flyers-Islanders game postponed due to storm

The Flyers' scheduled game against the New York Islanders Saturday night at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn has been postponed.

NEW YORK -- The Flyers' scheduled game against the New York Islanders Saturday night at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn has been postponed.

No makeup date was immeditely announced, but the team planned to go through with its morning skate at 11:30 a.m. according to a team spokesman.

Both teams are scheduled off Sunday, but that date at the Barclay's Center probably is not available because the Brooklyn Nets have a 3:30 p.m. game scheduled against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The late afternoon start would not leave enough time for the basketball court to be converted to an ice rink.

Check back later for more details on when the Flyers-Islanders game will be rescheduled.
