Proud parents Doug Collins, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Bill Murray get emotional during NCAA tournament wins

The Northwestern Wildcats made history Thursday night, earning their first NCAA tournament win in a nail-biting 68-66 victory over Vanderbilt.

In his fourth season at Northwestern, head coach Chris Collins led the Wildcats to a school-record 23 wins and their first NCAA tournament appearance. Collins also has been named a Coach of the Year finalist, along with Gonzaga's Mark Few, Kansas's Bill Self, and Villanova's Jay Wright, who won the award last year.

No one has been more invested this season in Collins' remarkable coaching achievement than his dad, ex-Sixers coach Doug Collins. Watching the game from the stands, Collins couldn't hide the emotion he was feeling, as the cameras caught the proud father reacting in the closing seconds of Thursday night's game.

Collins wasn't the only proud parent in the stands Thursday night. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, a Northwestern alum, seemed ready to break out her signature dance from Seinfeld after the team's dramatic win. The Veep star, cheering on the squad for which her son Charlie Hall is a sophomore forward, was caught on camera mouthing the words, "Oh my God!"

Louis-Dreyfus has some competition when it comes to popular celeberites cheering on their sons during March Madness. Also on Thursday, No. 11 seed Xavier upset No. 6 Maryland, and among the cheering Musketeers fans was actor Bill Murray, whose son Luke is an assistant coach for Xavier.

Not surprisingly, Murray didn't hold much back while rooting for his son court-side.
