Donovan McNabb no longer with Fox Sports

When Donovan McNabb finishes his prison term for a DUI, it appears he'll be looking for a new job.

Philly.com has confirmed that the former Eagles star is no longer an NFL analyst with Fox Sports Live. McNabb quietly submitted his resignation sometime after his arrest for DUI in Gilbert, Ariz. on June 28. Awful Announcing was first to report McNabb's resignation.

McNabb was sentenced to 18 days in jail after the ex-quarterback crashed into a car at a stoplight. Police said he had a blood alcohol level of .17, more than double the legal limit. McNabb said the suspicious scent on his breath was from cold medicine.

After the incident, McNabb's second DUI in two years, Fox Sports suspended McNabb indefinitely. The network noted in a statement that "it is important that Donovan use this time as best he can to resolve his personal situation."

Despite the two DUIs, McNabb told a Syracuse.com reporter he didn't have a drinking problem. 

"Absolutely not," McNabb said during a visit to Syracuse less than a month ago. "Absolutely not. Could that have been avoided? Absolutely. I'm not running from it at all. But is there a problem? Absolutely not."

McNabb remains on a leave of absence from his other job, hosting "Under Center" on NBC Sports Radio with Mark Malone.

Back in July, before taking his leave of absence, McNabb addressed his second DUI on the program.

"There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point," McNabb said. "But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we'll let it handle itself."
