Chris Davis moves up another notch in record books

Chris Davis just crushed, or "Chris Davis'd," his 33rd home run of the season; the most by any player in baseball. The closest guy to him - just some fellow named Reigning American League MVP Miguel Cabrera - has a mere 26. The leader in the NL, Carlos Gonzalez, sits at 23.

Dom Brown has 22.

Davis is presumably headed for an All-Star appearance, but he is also headed for the first half home run record. His 33rd tied him with Ken Griffey, Jr. (1994), Mark McGwire (1987), and Roger Maris (1961) for fourth place behind some pretty noteable company.
