The Fanatic nabs Brian Dawkins, Fletcher Cox

With the start of the Eagles season just days away, ESPN 97.5 The Fanatic is bringing back a fan favorite to solidify their football coverage.

Sources confirm that Eagles legend and fan favorite Brian Dawkins will return to The Fanatic as a weekly football analyst. Dawkins will join Mike Missanelli after ever Eagles game at 4:15 p.m.

Dawkins, who is also an ESPN analyst, has been with the station since 2012. Known as "Weapon X," the nine-time Pro Bowler is tied for the franchise lead in interceptions (34) and second only to David Akers in games played (183). The six-time All Pro is also a member of the NFL's 2000s All-Decade Team, and is among just a handful of players to record 20 interceptions and 20 sacks in their NFL career.

In addition to Dawkins, The Fanatic is also planning on featuring current Eagles defensive end Fletcher Cox, pairing him with Anthony Gargano at 8:50 a.m. the morning after each game (for night games, it will be two days after).

Both sports stations have worked hard to add former players to their broadcasts. In addition to current ex-Eagles hosts Hollis Thomas and Ike Reese, Sportsradio 94.1 WIP is pairing Jon Runyan with Angelo Cataldi on Mondays following Eagles games this season. They also recently nabbed Eagles coach Chip Kelly, who will re-join Cataldi every Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. during football season for the station's most popular 15-minute segment of the week.

On top of Dawkins and Cox, The Fanatic is also bringing back Brian Westbrook and pairing him with morning host Anthony Gargano every Monday at 9 a.m.. The station is also the home of "The Ron Jaworski Show," hosted every Wednesday night by the ex-Eagles quarterback.
