Braves offended by Chipper Jones' correct comments

Not even Braves legend Chipper Jones was immune to the Braves' trademark petulant childishness that has come to identify their season.

Jones obliged when the Braves asked him to throw out Game 1's ceremonial first pitch in the now-complete Braves-Dodgers NLDS. However, he discovered later that he would be throwing it to the team's mascot, rather than one of the players, as they had heard him on a radio show earlier during which Jones had picked the Dodgers to win the NLDS.

Wanna thank the Braves organization for having me throw out the first pitch to the mascot tonite. Quite sure that's never been done before!
Nor will it EVER happen again!

Led by Brian McCann, the Braves have become a parody of the "old school" trope writers and fans cite when they would rather see a grown man throw a temper tantrum than... not see that. Whether causing a scene based on any and all perceived wrongs, or putting baseball's "unwritten rules" before all else, or rolling their eyes at every called strike, they have gone out of their way to be the post season's "villains," despite all along presuming that they are the scrappy heroes.

The Braves proved all they needed was each other, however, by losing and getting eliminated from the playoffs.
