Former Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel, now playing for the 6-0 Falcons, took to Twitter to offer his opinion of Andy Reid firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo.
Samuel, never at a loss for words, will face his former team next Sunday when the Eagles travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons.
Sometimes you have to blame yourself. You can't try and always point the figure at someone else

The Eagles are in no hurry to start Foles for the same reason they benched Kolb. Both would get killed playing behind the Eagles offensive line. Vick is the only QB who has a fighting chance and now thats not even a sure thing. Boru
Like someone earlier said, ditch the "O" line coach. Make more sense, though Castillo's no beauty pageant winner, either. Reid should've kept him in the offense. RichieLemon
vick is indeed still very fast but garbage o line would have problems with a traditional pocket QB let alone one that is difficult to follow. Reid seems not to have learned the important line lesson that consistency is almost as important as talent. these guys need to know what each other is going to do. you can't sign a bunch of people, stick them in there, and expect them to play at a high level. when you have a great center, keep him for a decade, don't keep changing every few years. dreinterests
shut up asante...can't tackle and jumps routes all game for the interception. another overpaid cb in philly. alot of guys want to come to philly and play... just ask sheldon brown how things are going in cleveland EaglesinVA
I'll take this year's Eagles' secondary over last year's, no question about it. Samuel got interceptions, but whiffed on a lot of those attempts. Samuel was also a big liability in the screen game because his tackling was atrocious. p-diddy
Hey Strum: Rookie quarterbacks RG111 and Russell Wilson have much higher QB ratings than Vick the $100 million fraud....learn to read the NFL stats you dumb moron. Bob112
Vick, 26 TDs, 42 Turnovers since 2011. Keep drinking the kool-aid. Guy isn't even a TOP20 QB in the NFL. Line was beast in 2010 and 2011. gordon7
from what I saw of colts o-line they are better than eagles that ain't saying much but better, their RT formerly of eagles is better than herremans who is a slow footed overrated stiff better move him back to guard and find another RT, foles is not ready for nfl play he would not last a half before getting knocked out of game with a season ending injury. only 9
Proof is in the pudding. This D is better without Asante and If the Eagles win then Asante is wrong, if they continue to lose, then he was right PERIOD. Rick SP 4 LIFE
JimG - I agree; there's no mention of Reid in the tweet. I think Assante is taking a swing at Nnmadi for his comments about Castillo's approach in the 4th quarter on Sunday. DPinDC
Another case of poor judgement in selecting coaches. Training Juan shouldn't have started during the season. If he showed any aptitude, it should have started in a tutoring type apprenticeship role. Some people are meant to lead, others are meant to follow. phineas
Asante who? Still can't tackle... maroonedinVA
Vicks decision making has never been one of his strong suits. Now that his skill has diminished then he is no better than a rookie as he is incapable of learning from his mistakes. Reid, Vick and Marty need to go yourdaddy!
i agree with davew31 foles will rid of the ball quicker thus advoid getting .vick cannot and willnot learn how to read a defense, mcnabb also had the same problem.foles cant do any worse than vick, its time to turn the team over to foles and dont look back. swgaston49
Who's fault is it when Vick holds on the the ball for 4 plus seconds? The O line isn't the greatest. But considering most of the issues happen when he has too much time I wouldn't be so fast to blame the line. Second Ried knows exactly what he has on the O line, where is the FB???? Why are we running so much one back???? Where is the max protection???? Reid never make adjustments... never. BigVilFromWestPhil
