He will throw it where quicker? Into the stands? That is what they said about one Kevin Kolb. Now under similar OL conditions that Vick is facing, Kolb is getting sacked at a record pace. Has it occurred to you that the WRs dont read defenses very well or the offense isnt set up to make those kinds of sight adjustments. Dont just assume it's all on MV7.

And I wouldn't assume that Vick is the only QB in the world that can survive this O-line. Andrew Luck is doing it with 3 Eagles O-line castoffs.

I guess I'm blind or can't read because I don't see Reid's name mentioned anywhere there by Asante. How do you know he wasn't referring to the players on defense? How do you know he wasn't talking about Nnamdi? He could just as easily have been calling out the defensive players on the team.

Asante sure does comment a lot on the Birds. Hmmm. Wonder if his heart is really in Atlanta.

@JimG....good point....from what I've seen of Nmandi Pnamdi for 2 seasons, he should retire and join the U. N. like he wants to and save the world, cause he sure isn't doing any saving on this defense.

Did anybody else find it even remotely funny and ironic that on the day where the Eagles secondary was melting down in the last 10 minutes of the game (again I might add) that TWO of our former CBs had INTs they each returned for TDs? Seems like we don't have any playmakers on D anymore. This is a D that desperately needs "playmakers" to make plays when the game is on the line. Vick to his credit always seems to rally the O troops and get the job done offensively, but the D? I can't believe this is all Castillo's fault.

Just a sidenote....I have not heard Brent Celek's name mentioned in 2-3 weeks. Has he been kidnaped by aliens? Have they used him soley to assist with blocking on this terrible O line? He's been invisible to me and he's simply too good a player to disappear on offense like he has. Our early season success was largely based on him.

He scored a TD 2 weeks ago, and this past weekend he dropped a sure TD and had another TD called back after a terrible offensive pass interference call. He's been around.

I don't think Asante has the stones to specify. As long as he keeps it vague, he can always duck the retribution.

This going back and forth about Vick and Foles and whatever else is nonsense. Don't any of you have anything better to do with your time other than read one article on here and then regurgiate on the comments of a different article? Firing Andy Reid will not do anything to improve this season. A different coach will not step in and just run the gauntlet to the Super Bowl. We don't know if Foles will do better or worse than Vick. As bad as Vick is playing, its hard to imagine him being that much worse. There are a lot of problems on defense. With this personnel we should be borderline legendary. The adjustments in the 4th quarter Sunday were horrendous. The offense has it's faults, but they're putting up enough points to win games. Juan Castillo was a joke and I'm glad he's gone. Nothing short of a SB will save Reid. Bowles will be the HC next year.

Voodooch, the EAGLES are 31st in points scored. Only the Jags are worse. So how can you honestly say "they're putting up enough points to win games" when the offense, thanks to Vick's turnovers, really sucks!!!

Captain Obvious to the rescue! In the middle of your thesis did it ever occur that Marty's play calling stinks! Also, that offensive line is horrible. I'm not exonerating Vick by any means, just try to think analytically. Based off what you have contributed so far, I realize that may be difficult. The o-line that you want to give a pass: Shady on Sunday 14 carries for 20 yards amounts to a whopping 0.7 yards a carry. Also, when it comes to the blitz, wide receivers have sight adjustments that need to be made that are not happening. Maclin and Jackson are one trick pony wide receivers. If they cannot run a 9 route or deep post primarily they are taken out of the game.

Vick will start vs. Atl. Reid will assume play calling resposibilities and we'll see what happens. Another game of turnovers vs an Atl. that is +10 and has created a lot and Vick will be riding the pine vs NO is my gut feeling. However starting a rookie in a dome on MNF in NO might not be the best scenario. This is about to blow up full scale unless the Birds get it together. Always want to see them win but this song and dance is getting fuggin old, has been old. Patience is out the window and you can see a desperate Reid. Sometimes desperation is a good thing but seeing how Andy has almost always been calm in demeanor my gut says he just about lost control of the ship...it won't take much to sink this boat

Lurie isn't going to fire Andy Reid mid season. If he does fire him at the end of the year, look for a big name (think Gruden or Cowher or even Dungi) as a replacement. I doubt if Lurie would hire an unknown assistant coach at this point in the game.
