Are the Eagles’ salaries flying too high?

Forbes doesn’t seem to think so: in a list of 2012’s overpaid NFL players, released Monday, the magazine’s Tom Van Ripper doesn’t include any of the Boys in Green.

The list instead singles out Jets linebacker David Harris ($12 million), Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby ($10.7 million), Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph ($9.75 million), Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis ($9.6 million) and Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes ($9.25 million) as the top five players who are “getting All-Pro money without making All-Pro.”

Van Ripper’s criteria are pretty clear: any player making over $5 million and having trouble staying on— and, therefore, giving back—on the field. Locally, only Michael Vick, Nnamdi Asomugha and Jason Babin fit in that salary cap, so, for argument’s sake, let’s widen the eligibility to any Eagle making seven figures.
