A report by TSN hockey writer Darren Dreger overnight broke the news that the Flyers have agreed to terms of an offer sheet with Nashville Predators star defenseman Shea Weber.

Dreger reported that the Flyers' offer sheet is a 14-year, $100 million contract. Nashville has seven days to match those terms.

"Nashville was working on a trade and its [sic] believed several deadlines passed before Flyers grew tired of waiting," Dreger tweeted. "Weber signed offer sheet."

The "aav" refers to a player's average annual value, which translates to the salary cap hit a team takes from the player's contract.
