Wyatt garners another Big Five honor

Khalif Wyatt, a senior guard at Temple, was named the Big Five men’s player of the week on Monday. It marked the fifth time this season the Norristown native has won the award.

He averaged 22 points and five assists in last week’s victories over Detroit and Rhode Island. Wyatt scored all 20 of his points – including 12 of his team’s final 14 – in the second half  to lead the Owls to an 83-78 win against the Titans on Thursday. Then Wyatt finished with 24 points in Saturday’s 76-70 victory over the Rams. With the scored tied at 64-64, he went to score seven of the Owls’ final 12 points to pull out the victory.

On the women’s side, Temple senior center Victoria Macaulay and Villanova senior forward Laura Sweeney were named co-Big Five players of the week.
