Wednesday’s loss to then No. 1 Duke knocked Temple out of the Associated Press men’s college basketball poll that was released Monday.

The Owls (22-6) were ranked 24th. Duke, which lost to Virginia Tech Saturday, dropped to No. 4.  The Blue Devils are tied with Pittsburgh at that spot. Meanwhile, Villanova fell four places to No. 19.

Here’s a look at the AP rankings that were released Monday:

Arizona's a fraud, Nova will be lucky to win a game in the tourney. I can't wait for the tourney this year, no clear cut top teams.

Gee, does this mean the Owls are now setup to be left out of the NCAAs if they don't win the conference tourney (just like they dropped them to #24 after a solid 2-win week so they could drop them out of the Top 25 if they lost to Duke even tho 2 of their top 2 players were out)? Wouldn't be surprised. Can't have those "second rate" conferences have too many teams get in - that's no good for the bottom line! Go Owls (anyway).

Not surprised. Gotta make room for some more Big East teams. Nova loses three in a row, most likely stretches that to four with a loss at Pitt, then probably moves UP next week!
