Temple will play Wyoming in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, according to multiple sources.

The sources said the teams will get official notices Sunday night.  For the Owls (8-4),  this will be their second bowl game in three seasons.

This  bowl game will be played Dec. 17 at University Stadium in Alburquerque, N.M.

Temple finished second in the Mid-American Conference East Division under first-year coach Steve Addazio.  The Owls capped the regular-season with three consecutive victories.

Wyoming (8-4) has won five of its last seven games in route to finishing third in the Mountain West.

Temple played in the EagleBank Bowl two seasons ago, losing to UCLA. The Owls weren’t invited to a bowl game last season despite finishing 8-4.

There were 72 bowl eligible teams for the 35 games last year. The Owls were one of the two teams that didn’t receive an invitation.
