Temple to face Wyoming in New Mexico Bowl?

The College Bowl Projections predicts Temple will play Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 17 at University Stadium in Albuquerque, N.M.

If this is true, one can only assume the Owls will have mixed feelings.

According to multiple sources, Temple's athletic department would like the football team play in the Military Bowl in Washington on Dec. 28. But at the same time, the Owls would be elated to make a bowl appearance after last season.

Temple wasn't invited to a bowl game a year ago despite finishing 8-4 and coming off a 9-3 season and respectable showing vs. UCLA in the EagleBank Bowl the previous year. There were 72 bowl-eligible teams for the 35 bowl games last year. The Owls were one of the two teams that didn't receive an invitation.
