Temple receives another commitment

Temple football on Sunday received a commitment from Darrious Carter, a 6-4, 220-pound defensive end from Indiana High School in Western Pennsylvania.

Carter, who has been flying under the recruitment radar, established himself as a legitimate player in Temple’s eyes on the strength of his performance at the Temple football camp held at Penn Hills High School on June 2.

Carter, a junior, will be a part of the Owls’ 2014 freshman class. That class is shaping up to be one of the better classes in recent years.  The Owls begin training camp for the 2013 season on Aug. 5. They will open the season Aug. 31 at Notre Dame.
