The Temple football family lost a sibling this week.

Frank Massino, a former defensive lineman and assistant coach, passed away at his Lafayette Hill home on Tuesday. He was 69.

Massino was a member of the Owls’ varsity team from 1961-63. As a senior, he was named team captain and honored as the team’s best lineman that season.

In 1964, when his playing career was over, Massino served as an assistant coach on the freshman football team.
