A week away from training camp, Temple may be closing in on a top running back recruit.
South Carolina's Jabo Lee decommitted from Tennessee last week and told reporters over the weekend that the Owls are in the mix.
"Temple is showing me all the reasons I should come there," Lee told the Florence (S.C.) Morning News. "This is just the beginning and everything is good. It is no sweat at all."
The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder simply tweeted "Philly!!!" on Saturday afternoon, three days after decommitting from Tennessee.
Lee told the Morning News that he is academically qualified to play this season for any Division 1 team. Originally headed to East Carolina, Lee flipped his decision to Tennessee just days before February's national signing day.
In 2012, Lee missed the majority of his senior season after suffering a knee injury in the opening game. He rushed for 26 touchdowns and 1,642 yards as a junior. A three-star recruit by ESPN, Lee had offers from Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Miami (Oh.) and Bowling Green.
Brown cut. Former Owls running back Matt Brown was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Brown signed with the team in May after an expired passport kept him from signing with the CFL's Saskatchewan
