As expected, Temple remains in Rondae Jefferson’s trimmed-down list of possible destinations.

The Chester High guard/forward recently told ESPN.com’s Dave Telep that Temple, Rutgers, Syracuse, Arizona, Florida, Texas and Memphis are the schools he's still considering.

Jefferson, a 6-foot-7 rising senior, has been a fixture at Owls’ home games for the past three seasons. His older brother, Rahlir, is the starting power forward at Temple.  And Rondae has a great relationship with the Owls’ coaching staff.

“I really like Temple,” he said back in February.

And just like most college programs, the Owls would like to one day have the 17-year-old on their roster.

He is regarded as the nation’s 12th-best college prospect in the Class of 2013, according to Scout.com.  ESPN and Rivals.com both list as the 23d-best player in the class.

Jefferson averaged 12.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.7 blocked shots to lead Chester to its second consecutive Class AAAA PIAA state title.

He plans to make his college decision on Jan. 3, his birthday.
