The Temple men’s basketball team defeated Villanova, 78-67, in a Big Five game Saturday at the Liacouras Center.

The Temple men’s basketball team defeated Villanova, 78-67, in a Big Five game Saturday at the Liacouras Center.

Ramone Moore finished with a career-high 32 points as the Owls improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big Five. This was Temple’s second victory in three seasons over the Wildcats (5-4, 2-1). The Owls also extended their home winning streak to 24 games.

Junior point guard Maalik Wayns led Villanova with 23 points.
