Wyatt, Galloway share Big Five honor

Temple guard Khalif Wyatt and La Salle guard Ramon Galloway were named the Big Five co-players of the week on Monday.

It marked the second consecutive Big Five player-of-the-week honor for Wyatt. Galloway was also named the Atlantic Ten player of the week on Monday.

Wyatt averaged 29.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and three steals while the Owls split last week’s games with Duquesne and Massachusetts.

The Norristown native had career highs of 35 points and six steals in Thursday’s loss to Duquesne.

Galloway averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 assists as the Explorers swept last week’s games against St. Bonaventure and St. Joseph’s.  He had 16 points and a career-high 12 assists in Saturday’s victory over the Hawks.

Temple (17-8, 6-5 A-10, 2-1 Big Five)  entertains La Salle (18-6, 7-3, 3-0) Thursday at the Liacouras Center.
