Stewart to start at QB against Maryland

Chester Stewart will start at quarterback for Temple against Maryland on Saturday.

The fifth-year senior will replace junior signal caller Mike Gerardi, who started the Owls’ first three games.

Stewart has completed 4 of 8 passes for 46 yards this season.  Temple coach Steve Addazio said the decision was based on Stewart's performance in last Saturday's 14-10 setback to Penn State.

Stewart went 3 of 6 for 28 yards passing. He also had nine carries for 19 yards.
