NEWPORT, R.I. -- According to multiple sources, Temple's football team was picked to finish last in the Big East Conference this season in the conference's annual media poll.

Louisville was tabbed as the favorite to win the conference, the sources confirmed. The official preseason rankings will be released at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday.

The Owls return just eight starters from last season’s squad that finished 9-4 and defeated Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl.

Temple rejoins the Big East after spending the past five seasons in the Mid-American Conference.
