Report: Gibbs considering Temple

Sterling Gibbs, who will leave Texas at the end of the spring semester, is considering transferring to Temple, according to ZagsBlog.com.

The website lists Seton Hall among other possible destinations.

The 6-foot-1 freshman averaged just eight minutes and 2.6 points as a backup point guard this past season at Texas. The New Jersey native had expressed a desire to play closer to home. He was reportedly looking into applying for a hardship waiver.

Gibbs finished his high school career as the all-time leading scorer at Seton Hall Prep.

He was going to play at Maryland after high school. He, however, changed his mind after Gary Williams retired.

Gibbs' older brother, Ashton, just completed his career at Pitt.

I would only want him if he is as fast as the point guards I saw wreck havoc in the NCAA tournament.
