Temple coach Steve Addazio doesn’t know Bernard Pierce’s status for Wednesday night’s game against Miami of Ohio.

“I haven’t seen him today,” Addazio said at Friday’s press conference. “I saw him yesterday. I don’t like to  comment on injuries. But obviously, we all know that he got dinged in that game.

“We just have to wait and see.”

The tailback suffered a head injury late in Wednesday’s 35-31 setback to Ohio in Athens, Ohio.  After the game, he spent several hours in an Athens area hospital and missed the team’s charter flight back to Philadelphia.  He returned to Philly on Thursday.

Pierce was dazed on the play and had what appeared to be concussion-like symptoms as he was escorted to the sideline.

The 6-foot, 218-pounder is already playing with a hamstring injury.
