Temple tailback Bernard Pierce is the Mid-American Conference East Division offensive player of the week.

The junior received that honor rushing for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in Saturday’s 34-0 victory over Buffalo. This is Pierce’s third MAC East POW honor of the season.

    Pierce is a beast. He deserves to get some national attention for his efforts so far this year. But 3 MAC East player of the week is a good start.
