Owls yet to name starting QB

Temple has yet to determine a starting quarterback for Saturday’s game at Maryland.

“We haven’t made all those decisions, yet,” said Owls coach Steve Addazio, when asked Monday if Mike Gerardi would start against the Terrapins. “We are still evaluating our game-plan … We are in the process of all that.

Gerardi, a 6-foot-2, 206-pound junior, started the first three games for Temple. He will battle Chester Stewart for the starting position this week.

Gerardi has completed 30 of 59 passes for 423 yards to go with three touchdowns and two interceptions.  Both of his interceptions came in the fourth quarter of last Saturday’s 14-10 setback to Penn State.

Stewart, 6-3, 214-pound fifth-year senior, is 4 of 8 for 46 yards on the season.  He also has 12 carries for 39 yards.
