Big East Conference commissioner John Marinatto said the 2012 football schedules for league members will be released in a couple of weeks.

During that time, the Owls will try to find another non-conference opponent to fill out their 12-game slate.

Temple will inherit West Virginia’s Big East schedule. The Mountaineers left the conference to join the Big 12.

Here's a quick composite look of the 2012 Temple football non-conference schedule:

Aug. 31: vs. Villanova
Sept. 8: vs. Maryland
Sept. 22: at Penn State
Nov. 17: at Army

Here are Temple’s Big East games (dates to be determined):

Home: Syracuse, Rutgers, Cincinnati and South Florida.
Away: Connecticut, Louisville and Pittsburgh
