Owls recruit to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Mainland placekicker and Temple recruit, Jim Cooper Jr., was selected Monday to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The game, which features 90 of the nation's top high school seniors, will be played in San Antonio's Alamodome on Jan. 5.

Mainland placekicker and Temple recruit, Jim Cooper Jr., was selected Monday to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The game, which features 90 of the nation's top high school seniors, will be played in San Antonio's Alamodome on Jan. 5.

Cooper made two field goals this season and has 26 for his career.

He decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, Jim Cooper Sr., when he committed to Temple this summer. Jim Cooper Sr. kicked for the Owls from 1984-87.
