The Temple Owls got a huge commitment this weekend when Top 100 prospect Obi Enechionyia gave them an oral commitment to play basketball there.

 

A 6-9 junior forward in the class of 2014, Enechionyia averaged 19.4 points, 12.7 rebounds and four blocks per game at St. James School in Springfield, VA. Enechionyia announced he was committing to the Owls via Twitter on Sunday afternoon. This was about 24 hours after he spent Saturday at the Temple football game.

 

Temple basketball fans have been looking for a reason to be excited about the program and this is a good place to start. The first commitment for their 2014 class, Enechionyia chose the Owls over Miami, Loyola Marymount and Georgia Tech.
