Rutgers coach Kyle Flood announced Thursday that junior quarterback Gary Nova will start against Temple on Saturday.

Nova was benched last weekend after throwing three interceptions – bringing his total to seven in the last two weeks – in a 49-14 home loss to Houston.

Flood said that Chas Dodd, whom he replaced Nova with, would be in open completion with Nova for the starting job this past week. Dodd, a senior, started as a freshman and sophomore. Nova beat him out for the starting job heading into the 2012 season.
