Harris invited to East-West Shrine Game

Temple tailback Montel Harris has been invited to participate in the East-West Shrine Game.

The senior all-star game will be held on Jan. 13 at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Fla.

Harris had 196 carries for 1,054 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. His average of 105.4 rushing yards per game led the Big East.

The first-team all-Big East selection rushed for school and conference single-game records of 351 rushing yards and seven touchdowns against Army on Nov. 17.

Harris transferred from Boston College to Temple in July.
