McManus nominated for Good Works Team

Brandon McManus, Temple's senior placekicker and punter, has been nominated for the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team.

Brandon McManus, Temple's senior placekicker and punter, has been nominated for the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team.

The award goes to a group of players committed to making a difference in their communities.

The North Penn product participated in the annual Thanksgiving food drive, A Mile in Her Shoes, Owls for the Cure, the Shore Tour, the Diamond Street clean-up and Read Across America as well as several Ronald McDonald House visits and hospital visits.

McManus made 16 of 22 field-goal attempts and had a punting average of 45.8 yards last season. Eleven of his 46 punts landed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
