Lunardi: Owls drop to No. 6 seed

Temple would be the sixth seed in the West region if the NCAA tournament began today, according to ESPN college basketball analyst Joe Lunardi.

Lunardi, known as Joey Brackets, dropped the 23rd-ranked Owls from a No. 5 seed after Saturday’s loss at St. Joseph’s.

In Monday's updated bracket, Lunardi has Temple facing No. 11 seed Long Beach State in a second-round game in Pittsburgh.

The winner will face the winner of the No. 3 Georgetown vs. No. 14 Belmont game in the next round.

Lunardi has the Musketeers playing Miami, the South’s other 12 seed, in a first-game game.

He has Drexel as the 13th seed in the East. The Dragons will play No. 4 seed Indiana in a second-round matchup in Portland.
