Brian Carter, a senior defensive lineman at Harrisburg High, gave a verbal commitment Sunday to play football at Temple.
He will sign a binding national letter of intent on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-2, 260-pounder visited the Owls' North Broad Street campus this weekend.
"Everything was good, and this seemed like a great fit for me," Carte told the Harrisburg Patriot-News of his visit.

Play at Temple, win a Super Bowl, woo hoo! xyz28
Can't seem to find any information on the recruiting sites about this kid. FatEagle
That gives at least 1 player in the last 24 Big 33 games. Impressive get for the Owls. ohiopreps
Once again, the lack of info, stats, ratings, etc. for a recruit is incredible. With no where else to say it, let me say its also incredible this paper has NOTHING about Bernard Pierce (Ravens running back from Temple). You had 2 logical chances to do it - yesterday just before the SB and today after he wins a ring! Pathetic. joninohio- "Everything was good, and this seemed like a great fit for me," Carte told the Harrisburg Patriot-News of his visit. - Translation: No one else wanted me, so I figured, 'What the hell?'"
