Gerardi no longer an Owl

Redshirt junior quarterback Mike Gerardi is no longer a member of Temple's football team, according to multiple sources.

The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder opted to graduate from Temple this spring instead of being next season's third-string quarterback.

Gerardi started this past season's first three games before losing his position to Chester Stewart. By season's end, with Chris Coyer as the starter, he battled Juice Granger for the third-string spot.

The former walk-on completed 32 of 63 passes for 442 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions last season.
